Firmware version 6.9 is now available for the PocketBook Verse Pro, bringing a range of improvements to the reading and user experience. The update introduces a secure PIN code feature, enhanced logo personalization, support for LCP-protected PDFs and audiobooks and other new features.
With these additions, PocketBook Verse Pro becomes more secure, more flexible, and even more tailored to the needs of readers.
New PIN code protection
Firmware 6.9 introduces optional PIN code security, letting users lock their device with a 4- or 6-digit code. Users can choose when the PIN is required – on startup, unlock, or USB connection. Security is handled locally, with no PINs ever sent to servers. Wi-Fi access remains available during lockout to support the recovery process.
New ways to customize your PocketBook
Firmware 6.9 adds advanced logo customization for startup and shutdown screens. Users can display book covers, current pages, personal images, or random artwork sets – up to 10 images. No image? That’s an option too. All features are available in the Personalize section of Settings. It’s a simple way to make your e-reader feel uniquely yours.
Other new features in Firmware 6.9:
- Support for LCP-protected PDFs and audiobooks: securely access more digital content, including borrowed library titles.
- Multi-library login for Onleihe (available in Germany only): easily switch between different library accounts in the Onleihe system.
- Icelandic added to interface languages: use your device in Icelandic with full system support.
- Bluetooth compatibility icons added: icons now show which Bluetooth services are supported by discovered devices, helping users easily identify compatible accessories.
From better security to deeper personalization, Firmware 6.9 makes the PocketBook Verse Pro feel more like your own. Update today and take full advantage of the new features.
